The battle for free communication motivates the entire development of Television: technology and cultural form, written by Raymond Williams. Originally published in English in 1974, the work gains a Portuguese translation in 2016. The author's critical bias, which rejected both the technological determinism and the idea of a determined technology for the television media, is now recovered, laying the foundation for the current discussions about planned uses and effects and the unanticipated uses and effects of technology and its cultural forms.Downloads
