This article is dedicated to a geometric form (the rectangle) and how this geometric form implies in certain conections in the construction of determinated journalistic productions. It is about, therefore, a field of study o f visual journalism, that is, in the messages territory, information journalistic news in which the images are a very important element of the structure making or production of sense. I will treat the rectangle and by that I intend to do an incursion through some questions about the mediation process and the symbolic representation. This analysis is around the touristic journalism and helds the objective of studying the relation between getting close - getting far among the natural and transmitted by the duality in-out and the notion of field presented in Harry Pross’ media theory.Downloads
