Abstract

This paper tries to expose some theoretical concepts on the transformations in some practices o f filmmaking and perception affected by the digital mutation o f the audiovisual. After reviewing the increasing articulations between filmic, electronics and digital images, next to the ruptures and evolutions in the scope o f an image increasingly determined by its hibridations, the theoretical developments are confronted with the analysis o f a frontier case in several senses, that it delineates limits and draws up simultaneously passages o f connection between different territories from the audiovisual image in its contemporary state: The Russian Ark, by Alexander Sokurov.
