Abstract

The article studies Paulo Emilio Sales Gomes’ style formation. To do so, it scans his work’s genesis, analyses his first political writings, and then examines his texts published in Clima magazine. Combining style and political reflection, Paulo Emilio’s first writings reveal a certain taste for the essay and already preannounce the great film critic and fictionist.
