This qualitative case study researched, under the light of the French psychosociology, the possibilities and obstacles of the interdisciplinary integration in a CAPS (Psychosocial Care Center), addressing also the organizational practices that provide the strongest interfaces among the professions/areas. The asymmetries among the disciplines and the difficulties in communication and in the establishment of the professional borders appeared as obstacles for integration. Despite the difficulties, the "grupo de referência", the "micro-reuniões" and the team meeting emerged as mechanisms related to the interdisciplinary proposal, which has an ally in the imaginary of the transformation of the psychiatric reform.
