Abstract

This paper discusses the probable incompatibility among distinct constructions of an apparently identical object: the transit of a work in different systems of signs. On the one hand, there is the cultural turn approach in translations studies, which means to be descriptive and abandons the traditional comparison between original and translation; on the other hand, the theoretical claims of an intersemiotic translation in the concretist and /or semiotic /semiological sense. The key to decipher the possibility of abandoning the traditional tertium comparationis is given by the aphorism 293 of Ludwig Wittgensteins Philosophical Investigations; the illustration of how this reasoning works can be found in the text of Rosa’s novel and  Globo’s short TV series.
