La philanthropie et le gouvernement neoliberal des inégalités

L’article analyse la tension entre la philanthropie et le gouvernement des inégalités à l’ère néolibérale en évoquant d’abord la tension entre l’impératif égalitaire de la démocratie et la philanthropie, issue de la richesse privée et du pouvoir social de son détenteur. Puis, il aborde la conception même de la richesse que la prise en compte de la philanthropie permet de développer et souligne le lien entre bien-être personnelle et maîtrise sociale. Cette conception met en lumière la relation de capture qui émerge entre la philanthropie et l’action publique. La dernière partie de l’analyse est consacrée à la discussion d’un cas d’apprentissage mutuel, invitant à une analyse processuelle de la réforme.
