Based mainly on the ideias of Ya-chen Chen, the purpose of this article is to discuss Chinese feminism and its relevance in the history of feminism and gender. The idea is to understand how feminism was consolidated in China and when the discussion around gender started, the analysis covers the period from the Communist Party rule to modern China. The idea is not to exhaust all debate around the subject, but to introduce the complexity around gender issues that narrow down the social relationships in the Asian country.Downloads
