Abstract

International data support Back School as a very important educational and therapeutic program for patients that have back pain. We report our experience with the treatment of 32 patients in a back school program in the Hospital das Clínicas, São Paulo University School of Medicine. In 89% of cases, there was marked relief of pain. 66% patients, after a six-months follow up period, were still doing well and acting according to what they had learned in the school.
