Abstract

The International Classification of Functioning , Disability and Health (ICF) is a World Health Organization new tool for measuring health and health related conditions. Aproved in 2001 its strucuture and uses are presented in this text. It is the conceptual basis for the definition, measurement and policy formulations for health and disability.
