Abstract

Ana Hatherly is one of the most significant names of the 1960's experimental poetry in Portuguese. In Anacrusa the author creatively works out narrative forms and imaginary codes of dreams and myths in relation to the vanguard poetry and the motion picture language (which is very close to the structures of dreams, for instance, in the use of time moving backwards and forwards, close ups, cut ups and montages in such a sequence as if the eyes were the camera and mind a place for editing and screening images).
