This article aims to examine the occurrence of discursive-argumentative relationships in written texts of the online commentary genre that are posted on social networks, parallel to the reflection on the argumentation approach in the teaching of the Portuguese language. It’s characterized as an exploratory study, of a qualitative nature and outlined by bibliographical research. The corpus of analysis is composed of a news post published on the profile of the newspaper Estadão, on Instagram, and the reactive comments to the post. The results of the analysis indicated the occurrence of different argumentative relationships in the comments in which the utterances are linked by textual articulators, which suggests the importance of working with linguistic-discursive elements in the teaching of argumentation, especially in contemporary texts conveyed virtually.
