In this article, my purpose is to think about the process of creation of my field itself of inquiry in which I looked to investigate the fisherwomen's invisibility. I was inspired in Gioconda Mussolini, which remained invisibly for much time, however which is in the undeniable form the precursor of the studies on fishing in Brazil.
