Abstract

Em 2013, no dia 15 de novembro, Gioconda Mussolini completaria cem anos de idade. Mas, como sabemos, ela foi arrancada da vida, pelas consequências de um aneurisma cerebral, poucas horas depois da sua aula de antropologia nos barracões, ainda precários, do campus da usp, no mês de maio de 1969, quando tinha 55 anos. Há dois anos, portanto, a antropologia brasileira se prepararia para essa lembrança, que me parecia particularmente relevante pelo longo, inexplicável (aparentemente) e incômodo esquecimento que cercou a figura de Gioconda Mussolini por quase quarenta anos...
