This work outlines the history of the alliance between the Evangelical Mission Summer Institute of Linguistics and Latin American scholars between the 1930s and 1970s, aiming to reconstruct the political and intellectual context of this alliance in Mexico, Peru and Brazil. Particular focus will be drawn to the role that the Interamerican Indigenist Institute played in providing links between the Mission and Latin American governments.Downloads
