Abstract

This article discusses the psychiatry refomn movement that appeared in Europe and in the U.S. this century's last half. This work analyses contents and practices that have been constituted under the notion of Desinstitutionalization, in a consideration on what representa the violence's institutions — the madhouse in modemity.
