Black authorship in american cinema: readings on black uprisings against total violence and the reiterations of the racial event

We present an analysis of Black authorship in cinema, seeking to reflect on the reiteration of the racial event, as well as on the insurrections in the face of the total violence to which black people are submitted daily, according to the reflections of Denise Ferreira da Silva (2016). We started with a brief retrospective, through a selection of American cinematic narratives, then we focused on the short film Two Distant Strangers (2020), by Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe, and ended with narratives starring black people in both the American and Brazilian audiovisual.
