This text retrieves the class notes of the course "Seminars of Literary Theory: essays by Antonio Candido", taught by professor Joaquim Alves de Aguiar, during the first semester of 2003, in the Graduate Program in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature – FFLCH/USP. The idea is to reflect on some schemes or reading itineraries, suggested in the course menu and read in order to understanding of the critical thinking of Antonio Candido.
