Fibromialgia: o que é, como diagnosticar e como acompanhar?

The main objective of this article is to review the clinical characteristics, diagnóstic criteria and follow up methods of the fibromyalgia syndrome. The author also presents a brief historical review of the knowledge on this syndrome. It is also commented the necessity of this knowledge divulgation in order to obtain early diagnosis to improve the patients quality of life.
