The authors refer to psychossocial rehabilitation of brain injured children, considering physical, cognitive deficits and affective/emotional aspects. They give special attention to the position parents occupy in the crisis moment, soon after the accident, and to the further consequences of it in the emotional ambit. They also enphasize the violence against children and parents due to social and cultural rules, stressing the responsability shared by parents, children and society on the matter of prevention.
