This study deals with an old collection composed by mostly polished artifacts of formerly stated “unknown provenience” The analysis of the artifacts themselves and some archivistic research reveal not only rare and interesting archaeological items (and their individual origins), but also many aspects of the very history of the Museu Paulista and the processes of managing and curation the collections have suffered from its foundation, about one hundred years ago.Downloads
