The study of cylinder seals is important not only because of its iconography but also because of inscriptions. This article analyzes some texts of a rich merchant from Larsa in the Old Babylonian period. The documents are representative of the type diversity of the cuneiform texts from this period, of the influence of private sector in the Old Babylonian economy and of the importance to assure the authenticity of a document by the systematic printing of the cylinder seals in the tablets and envelopes.##plugins.themes.default.displayStats.downloads##
