We reviewed Iliana Regan’s recent book, Burn the Place: A Memoir. Regan is an American cheffe who published a memoir telling her life story and describing what motivated her to be a cook in an unique and inspired way. This memoir raises several modern life topics related to food and gastronomy such as memory, affection, tradition, sexism, drug abuse, creativity, and people management. The book is a relevant candidate as bibliographic resource for further work and debate surrounding these questions.
