The challenges of 2020, in the wake of the new coronavirus pandemic and its countless impacts, propelled transformations in several areas. Despite difficulties, GIS - Gesture, Image, and Sound - Anthropology Journal maintained its commitment to the academic community. As a result of enhanced editorial dynamism, GIS nas not only adopted ongoing manuscript submission, but is now published on an ongoing basis. This novelty is in line with principles of open science and boosts scientific production in the areas covered by GIS. It speeds up publication of articles, essays, translations, interviews and reviews. In this way, GIS adds to its qualities of rigor and plurality the characteristic of fluidity, enabling the publication of works in less time.
